What do they have in common? Target Audience
These films all have something in common- their target audience
is more directed towards families of all sorts, as their films typically tend
to have humor that reaches out to all ages, a good example is The Hobbit and
Harry Potter.
Sports films published by Warner include:
-American Flyers
-Little Big League
-Speed Racer
-Grudge Match
-The Blind Side
-Million Dollar Baby
Would they be interested in publishing my film?
Yes, my film would have an interesting storyline and would
appeal to various age groups. In terms of quality, acting and plot, I think
they would be interested in my film. This is because my product will be similar
to films they have dealt with in the past, the example for this being the list
of sports films listed above. Also, warner has no popular sport films to do
with athletics, so it will be beneficial to them because it draws in a wider
audience.
How will this affect my ideas?
This will influence me to showcase my production and increase
its level of appeal by associating big-name productions along with my
production, whether it be film or distributor. Already, it is set for high
standards and is a reminder of overall quality whilst making the trailer – motivation
to live up to the names it has been associated with.
At the same time, it appeals to my audience because the films
and distributor it is paired up with – expectations and standards are already
set at a high bar, allowing people to have a great justified interest in seeing
my production, curious to whether my production could be just as good in
quality and representation as the distributor film company and films it was
said to be constructed similarly too.
For example, “from the makers of fast girls” or, “Made by
Universal Studios”
